General Fibre Company, also known as the General Moulding Company, was an American manufacturer of a wide variety of fibre and plastic moulded products. The company was known for its popular Ariduk brand of duck and goose decoys.
A third major producer of papier mache decoys in the USA, they began production after World War 2 in 1949. Their decoys were sold under the trade name of Ariduck General Fibre Co and they also produced decoys for Sears Roebuck and J.C. Higgins.
This duck has the St Louis mark and is probably a female Bluebill .
The condition is general vintage. It has been well used but no breaks or cracks.
