Handmade Amish upcycled hexagonal wooden birdhouse with reclaimed metal tin roof.
This birdhouse is made from reclaimed barn siding and reclaimed roof tin by the Amish in America. The barnwood that is used is sometimes in excess of 100 years old. Each house is handmade and has it’s own unique characteristics.
This tall house is hexagonal in construction and is free standing or can sit on a wall or garden shelf. It is also quite heavy so needs something sturdy to sit on. The house is painted white and has a grey spire shaped tin roof. Inside is a sheet of tin to divide the space so that 3 nesting families can be accommodated. There is 1 circular entry point and a door per section to allow clearing out at the end of the breeding season.
A unique birdhouse that will have the birds racing back to your garden every year.
