Description
Beautiful wooden cabinet with two doors revealing the interior set of drawers. The two exterior doors are marked Agents Syracuse Twist Drills Company. The company made high quality drill bits for wood from the 1850’s. This is a copy of an advertisement from July 1886
The interior of the cabinet is quite primitive by comparison to the exterior. It has seven rows of drawers with paper labels. There is a drawer for each letter of the alphabet and each single digit number, which suggests it has been used in a printers latterly. The top rows seem to have the original sizes for the drill bits. There should be 71 drawers but 2 are missing.
