Description

This is a selection of matching vintage American tin tiles on a wood frame, with a large mirror in the centre. This piece is made from reclaimed tin tiles so there may be small holes in a tile where it was fastened in place when it was originally used. It has 20 smaller individual tiles arranged in 4 tiles across the top by 8 tiles down the sides of the mirror. The overall effect looks like one tile framing the mirror. The tiles are bronze and cream coloured so will fit into any interior or exterior space.

The mirror can be hung vertically or horizontally depending on your preference. There is one fixing on the back but it may be advisable to add another due to the weight and size of the mirror. There is a chip in the wood at the back and some black marker pen also on the back. Please see images.

This mirror is unique because we use vintage tin ceiling tiles which have been gently reclaimed from the ceilings of old houses in America. The tiles surrounding the mirror and the wooden back can be given a lacquer spray before putting in place, this will seal the remaining paint and wood, prevent further rust spots appearing and enable them to be wiped clean and used in any space.
