Seth Thomas began producing clocks in 1813 The trademark was granted with a registration date of October 12, 1926 Seth Thomas junior took over the running of the company in 1915 until he died aged 55 in 1932. They made all types of clock, from the longcase clock to the small bedside alarm over the span of time.. Colibri eventually acquired the company. It is still in production today as part of CST Enterprises.
This is a brown bakolite version of a wall hanging clock, that is still an attractive design in today’s market. Bold fingers and numerals. Signature on the face of the clock is unusual. Good kitchen, hall or lounge clock.
