Description

A vintage Art Deco chrome table centrepiece in the shape of a scroll or heart.

It features two scrolling forms that touch in the centre. These forms sit on a chrome base supported by four ball feet. It was made by the Revere Company, circa 1935. Revere, Rome, N.Y is engraved in the base of the piece.

This piece beautifully illustrates the influence of Machine Age in America on the Art Deco movement.

There is some discolouration between the scrolls and the base but could be removed with the appropriate cleaner. In the centre of the base is 2 holes which look like something was possibly there before, perhaps a couple of fixings. This does not detract from the piece or its stability. Please check the photographs.

Please remember when buying vintage items, they will have signs of use but that is also what makes them so unique.  We do our best to photograph and explain the condition of the item as best we can.  If you have any questions about a particular item, please contact us. Please take the time to look at all pictures.

Styling: This piece was meant to store magazines or letters with the scrolls holding the magazines in place either side and can still be used for that purpose. Can also be displayed in the middle of a dining table or on a shelf, in homes, bars, hotels or retail spaces.
