Vintage ‘The Boston’ desk chair or stool made by the Chandler Adjustable Desk and Chair Company in Boston, Massachusetts, U.S.A.
The chair is height adjustable and features a dark wood seat and slatted wood backrest. The seat sits upon a solid cast iron round base. Around the base is stamped ‘The Boston, Chandler Adjustable Chair & Desk Co. Boston, Mass. Pat. Nov 14th 1893, Pat June 9th 1896.
The cast iron base is corroded and there are surface scuffs on the wood. There is also what appears to be the remains of a seat covering in the corners. Please see images.
