Beautiful antique chrysanthemum flower plate by James Kent Longton.
This beautiful plate features two large pink and purple-blue chrysanthemums and foliage, highly detailed in rich deep colours, adorning the plate and scalloped moulded edges. A gold edge also adorns this plate. No visible cracks but there are a couple of very small chips on the back edge as shown in the photographs.
There is a string attached on the back ready to hang on a wall, and makers marks on the back.
Signed Shield mark with crown above and initials J K L. The initials J K L stand for James Kent Longton, the pattern is “Chrysanthemum.”
