Chemung Spring Water of Chemung near Elmira, NY was sold from the 1880’s. A natural spring water that has been drunk from here before Europeans arrived in the USA. The logo embossed on the clear glass bottle depicts a native red Indian kneeling by the spring, which is located in a field. The water was transported to New York in tanks and was said to be a light water with a low mineral content. First sold for 10c a glass and then in 1910 a bottling plant was introduced.
