Description

Original copy of the Illustrated London News 1st February 1936. This edition is a record of the Lying in State and Funeral of the late King George V.  Priced at 2 shillings and sixpence.  Unfortunately the Double Colour Page picture of the new King Edward V111 has been removed.  The other 2 colour pictures are of the late King and his Widow Queen Mary, the rest is in black and white or sepia.  The first few pages and last few pages consist of advertisements. The remaining 224 pages are are of the lying in State and Funeral processions.  A snapshot of life in 1936.

Considering its age, it is in good condition.  The front ad back covers have been opened and the top front corner is slightly turned as is the same place on the back cover.  There is one small tear on the middle outer edge of the back cover.  The 2 staples are slightly rusted.
