Note on the back of the painting reads:
‘Leon Corbeau, Born is Hilversun June 13th 1936. He was a pupil of Hendrik Johannes Silner at the academy of Laren, Holland. Had several exhibitions in Europe and makes study trips to Canada and the USA’
The painting does have a small hole, see photographs. The frame also has some minor damage to the detailing. Some hazing and crackling patina on the canvas. Small port scene. Good topic for a fish or seafood restaurant.
