Red and black double wooden school desks.
2 school desks and chairs facing each other and mounted onto a wooden frame. The desks, chairs and frame have been painted red. The sides of the desks are metal that has been painted black. The seats have a wooden slatted backrest and they sit on a solid metal central column and are fixed into place. This pair of desks are more unusual as they face each other, normally joined desks both face the same way.
Each desk has an inkwell hole and a groove to keep the pencil from rolling off the top. Under each desk is a shelf for storing books and other equipment.
The desks and chairs have surface scratches and paint chipping. The black metal also has paint chipping and flaking and where the paint has come off there are signs of rust. Please see images.
