Description
The K6 (short for Kiosk No. 6) Design was introduced on 1935 by British designer Sir Giles Gilbert Scott.
Three sides of the kiosk are glazed using the original eight rows of three panes of glass, made up from a wide central pane of glass and two outer, narrow panes. Some panes missing as you can see from the photographs. The door has its original a metal “cup” handle. Around the top under the domed roof are the illuminated telephone signs, Again, sadly one of these has been damaged. The back panel has a blank.
As you can see fro the photographs this telephone box is in need of some restoration to bring it back to its former glory. Or leave as it is for a distressed look. The box is heavy as you can image, so you would need to be prepared for the delivery for such a large, heavy item. Any questions, please let us know.
