Vintage American wooden single block and tackle pulley.
The pulley is made of wood, with a cast iron hook/sheave and pulley. The surface has aged and worn to give it a lovely patina but is still structurally sound. The manufacturers name badge is on the side and is very difficult to read. You can just about make out ‘NY’ on it.
Pulleys were often used on farms, ranches, on ships, in various types of plants and factories.
