Description
Vintage silver coloured rectangular box decorated in embossed or repoussé high relief, on finely tooled matted background, depicting swirling scroll like leaves. There is a central vacant cartouche or plain plate that can be used for personalising with a name or initials. The base is also decorated with swirling scrolls, flowers and leaves.
The box has a hinged lid and a highly polished, mirror like finish inside.
The base has some damage and has been taped on the inside. There is a bit missing and the metal has split in places. Please see images. This does not detract from the overall look of the piece.
