Description
Vintage railway lantern made from cast iron.
This was made by the Railway Supplies Ltd. Dorking, England. The patent number is 196218 HS68.
The lid opens on a hinge and has small holes that would have originally been for allowing the fumes out and oxygen in. There is a round porthole style window in front and a small slit window in back. The slit window still has the original glass in it, the front window glass is missing.
There is some rusting inside and out but overall it is in very good condition. This lantern is very heavy.
