Vintage framed picture of the cricketer Digby Jephson by the artist Spy.

This cartoon from is from Vanity Fair, 22nd May 1902.

‘The Lobster’, 1902. Digby Jephson, Cambridge University and Surrey cricketer. Jephson (1871-1926) is best known for being one of the last to practice the style of bowling known as lob bowling.

The picture is in a wooden frame with a gold coloured inner edge. It has a brown coloured mount and is fully taped on the back. It has a picture frame hook on either side to fix it to the wall, or you could attach some picture wire to the hooks and hang it from the wire if you preferred. There is a small spot on the inside of the glass. It does not appear to be on the picture. The frame has a some minor surface scratches.
