Description
This is a lovely vintage hand thrown stoneware jug or pitcher from the Hillstonia range.
It is a round ball shape with a tapering neck, flared rim and pouring spout with a large formed loop handle, and has Hillstonia printed in black on the base.. The jug is a soft beige colour.
There is a crack near the top and small discoloured spot. This can be seen in the photographs.
This stoneware jug was manufactured by the Moira Pottery Company, near Burton on Trent, Leicestershire in England. The Moira Pottery works was founded in 1922 and demolished in the 1970s.
