A couple of minor signs of wear and age, such as scratches to the wood and one of the metal candle holders is missing from the top as shown.

Oregon Myrtle Wood became popular for making gift items back in the early 1900’s. It is a hardwood which takes many finishes well. Oregon Myrtle wood is a broadleaf evergreen native to Southwestern Oregon and North-western California. It grows prolifically in this coastal region. The Myrtle tree grows 60 to 120 feet in the wild.
