Description
This vintage pram comes with the original green painting and features such as the foam padded lining and wooden handle.
The hood and backrest are fully adjustable and plastic port windows in the hood. These windows have cracks in the plastic. The 4 wheels are painted in the same green colour with a black accent on the spokes and have hard rubber tyres. There is a foot brake underneath. The frame and chassis are in a contrasting dark cream colour and the wooden handle was once painted black. The original Whitney sticker is on the frame underneath.
There is some staining to the lining and the paint is worn in places. Please see images.
This carriage was made by F A Whitney. The E. A. Whitney of Leominster, MA, were the first baby carriage manufacturers in the US. The F. A. Whitney Carriage Company was founded in Leominster, Massachusetts and is named after Francis Austin Whitney and his cousin, Francis Wolfe Whitney.
