Description
This is an original horse drawn, four seater snow sleigh from upstate New York USA. These are much rarer than the double bench seat style.
The sleigh is constructed of a black painted wooden carriage with red line details, cast and wrought iron decorative scrolls and steps. The seats have been reupholstered with red vinyl fabric and re-stuffed. This is a typical sleigh of the Amish design and construction.
This sleigh has 2 sets of skis or runners, one pair at the front and the other at the rear. The front runners can turn to make it easier for manoeuvring. Some of the paint has worn away in places and there are a couple of scuff marks. Please see images for more details. Please note that this is sold as a decorative item only.
