Antique hand carved large wooden African mask.
This is a solid piece of wood with detailed carved facial features and decorative markings. It has been painted in black, dark red and white. There are 2 eye holes. Inside the mask shows the original carving marks left from the tools used to hollow out this piece of wood. It has 3 hooks inside ready for hanging on a wall.
A little bit of paint has worn away on the tip of the nose and the top of the hair. This can be seen in the photographs.
