Child’s wood and metal desk and chair.
The desk and chair are mounted onto a red coloured metal base. The desk is painted blue and is also made of metal with a wooden lid that lifts open. There is a small catch to keep the lid propped open to make it easier to get book in and out of. The top of the lid has a wood laminate style finish with a metal pencil holder at the top and a metal handle at the bottom to open and close it. The name ‘Gregg’ has been stencilled on in red. Inside the desk is a small hole that has always been there as a design feature. It makes cleaning all the little bits out of the desk a lot easier.
The chair is made from wood, with a wood seat and wooden slatted back rest within a blue metal frame. It is set at a specific distance away from the desk so it cannot be pulled in or out. It does however, rotate from side to side making it easier to get in and out of the chair.
There are quite a few scuffs and scratches and corrosion where the paint has worn away. Please see images. This is a solid and quite heavy piece of furniture.
